Wake Up

Updated: Jun 3, 2024

In shadows cast by man's dark reign

Natural disasters, a world in pain

Greed and selfishness intertwine

Evil's presence, a timeless sign

Prophesies whispered in ancient tome

Warnings ignored, the Earth a catacomb

The Bible's verses, a solemn tale

Yet disbelief persists, our spirits frail

History's lessons, etched in blood and stone

Repeating cycles, seeds of destruction sown

Humanity's hubris, a tragic decree

Mother Earth weeps, her plea set free

We ravage her lands, pollute her streams

In the pursuit of wealth, we shatter dreams

Yet the signs are clear, the message bold

In our quest for power, we've sold our soul

May we awaken before it's too late

Embrace harmony, rewrite our fate

For the Earth is our home, a fragile sphere

Let love and wisdom erase our fear

I don’t understand how some people dismiss the Bible so easily. What’s happening right now has been foretold. If it’s false, then how is it all unfolding right before our eyes? I, for one, want to spend my eternity happy, in peace, rather than in this misery that we have on Earth, because if you think it’s bad here, just wait.

Now, if you don’t believe in God, I apologize. I don’t want to push my beliefs on anyone. I’m also not your typical Christian. I believe that every religion has truths to God and spirituality. I don’t believe that one religion is the “right” religion. I believe in an afterlife. I believe in being a good person, I believe in God, whatever or whoever God may be. I believe we are too complex of creatures to have simply been an accident. Plus, how did anything exist to create us in the first place? How does God just exist? I don’t know, but I know there is a God that created us. I also believe that God may not be God, in the sense of we just don't know what or who God is. Someone or something definitely created us.
