Painful Creativity

She has a wound in her soul

She has a scar in her heart

She has a pain in her life

She has a tear in her eye

But she has a love for poetry

She has a love for music

She has a love for words

She has a love for sounds

She writes her feelings on paper

She sings her emotions in melody

She expresses her thoughts in rhyme

She releases her stress in rhythm

She finds healing in poetry

She finds healing in music

She finds healing in words

She finds healing in sounds

She is a woman of poetry

She is a woman of music

She is a woman of words

She is a woman of sounds

I use the word, "painful," because my emotions are painful. I do my best at the end of every poem to turn the pain into power and positivity.
