OldLadyism

Happy birthday, dear Grandma, it’s your special day

With cake, balloons, and so much to say!

You’re the queen of the bingo hall, the craft fair star

With a purse full of goodies, there’s no one like you by far!

Now let’s talk about those old lady quirks

Like collecting those dolls, with creepy old smirks

You fancy the sweet treats

And you even save me the receipts!

You excel in collecting fabric

For those creepy dolls, only pediatric

We’re all still waiting for the clothes we know you can sew

I guess the fabric is meant only for those who don’t grow! 😊

You have an uncanny knack for Hobby Lobby shopping

The amount of money you spend sends Grandpa sobbing

With your knees creaking and your wild tales galore

You’ve got me giggling and always wanting more

Yet through all the laughter and quirky charms

It’s your love and kindness that keeps us all warm

Here’s to you, Grandma, wit hugs and delight

You fill my heart up, make every day bright!

I'm ashamed to say I don't actually know how old my Grandma is today, but pleased to announce that it's her birthday! I'm laughing so hard as I write this, because it was specifically tailored to her. My family will get a good laugh at this, as well. I thought I'd throw in some humor this time, instead of solely something mushy. My Grandma is an amazing woman, and she deserves the best of days!
