No More Hiding

In a world where words betray

I stand here, unheard they say

Not complaining, just unveiling

A life untold, forever ailing

Who to blame for unknown pain

All I did, not in vain

Taught to survive, not to see

The pain inside, haunting me

Families, with problems deep

But secrets dark, they do keep

Trauma’s hidden, wounds so deep

Their shame cast, upon me they heap

Decades pass, still the same

Blaming her, for all the shame

But through it all, I find my voice

Breaking free, making my choice

No more shadows, no more lies

From their grip, my spirit flies

I stand strong, in my truth

No longer shackled by my youth

So, listen now, to my tale

No longer hidden, behind a veil

I share my pain, my heart, laid bare

No more silence, I will not despair

With each challenge and hurdle I face; I discover greater strength and resilience within myself. I am evolving into a woman of strength, independence, and confidence. I cherish who I am, embracing my ambitions, desires, and dreams. I navigate through every circumstance, emotion, and obstacle with determination. I’m also quite skilled – I can hang artwork, assemble items, and even change my car’s oil and tires.

I refuse to let my toxic family history and past hinder my personal growth and transformation. I won’t allow negative individuals to dampen my spirits. I am worthy of love, joy, and respect. I am a determined woman on a mission, and I consistently succeed in all my endeavors.
