My Cousin's Oldest Daughter

(Name Removed),

In a world where distance keeps us apart

I watch you from afar, dear (Name Removed), with a heart full of love

Through Facebook’s window, I witness your growth

And it fills me with pride to see the woman you’re becoming

Though our paths have not crossed as often as I’d like

Know that my affection for you runs deep and true

You are a treasure, smart, talented, and beautiful

And life, me dear, has wondrous things in store for you

Remember to value yourself, for you are unique

Trust your gut, it’s a compass that won’t lead you astray

Never change who you are for the sake of another

For you, my dear, are perfect in every single way

Thoughts of you often dance in my mind

And I hope that one day, our worlds will intertwine

We’ll create memories and share stories untold

A cherished time together, worth more than gold

So, (Name Removed), my cousin’s precious daughter

Know that my love for you knows no bounds

Though distance may separate us for now

Our connection remains unbreakable, forever profound

Merry Christmas!

Life is hard. What makes us feel better is when people notice and say something. I truly believe this is my place in this world. I am not meant for happiness and peace in the sense of love, partnership and friendship. I am meant to uplift others. My cousin's daughter's face a lot of challenges. A couple of Christmas's ago I sent out poems to everyone I love. I wanted these girls to know they are loved from afar, even though I don't know them well. (They live in Texas) It feels good to be told good things about ourselves. I feel like this could solve a lot of our problems in our world. I just want to make people smile, be happy, and feel good. It gives them confidence and drive to continue on in life.
