Musical Memories

Updated: Apr 16

In the symphony of life, music takes its place

A companion for every emotion, a solace to embrace

In moments of joy or when sorrow abounds

Music becomes the language where my soul resounds

Through melodies and rhythms, memories awake

People, places, and things, they all partake

Lyrics intertwine, touching depths unseen

Resonating within, like a vivid dream

For music knows no boundaries, it transcends

A universal language that gracefully amends

Notes and beats weave a tapestry, divine

Uniting hearts and souls, crossing every line

When I’m happy, it dances with me in delight

When I’m sad it holds me, comforting through the night

When anger boils, it channels my storm

Transforming chaos into a melodic form

In moments of boredom, it ignites a fire

Breathing life into my soul, sparking desire

Every emotion finds solace within its embrace

As music paints colors on the canvas of space

People gather, united by the melodies they adore

Different backgrounds, yet connected to the core

Music’s harmonies bridge the gaps that divide

Unifying humanity, side by side

Oh, how could I ever envision a life

Devoid of music’s power, its symphonic rife?

For it nourishes my spirit, fuels my every breath

An eternal companion, beyond life’s transient depth

So, let the music play, let its enchantment persist

In every beat and lyric, may its magic persist

For in its melodies, I find solace and connection

A testament to the power of musical affection

I live my life through music, words, movies and tv. They are the only places I can relate, find connection, and understand and accept myself. A Britney Spears song comes to mind. While I interpret it differently than you might, “The Beat Goes on” long after language dies. So, enjoy some Britney Spears today. 😊(And yes, I realize this song is a remake. But I was born in 1985, so sue me!)
