Harmony

Ducks and birds, friends in the sky

Waddling together, side by side

In harmony they roam, protecting their own

A bond unbroken, a loyalty shown

Feathers and beaks, a colorful display

Chirping and quacking, in their own unique way

They watch each other’s back, in the air and on land

A unity of purpose, a friendship so grand

But humans, oh humans, why can’t see

The lesson they teach, the example they be?

To stand by each other, through thick and thin

To protect and support, to let love begin

Let’s learn from the ducks, from the birds up above

Embrace on another with kindness and love

For in unity and friendship, we’ll find our true worth

And create a world of peace and harmony on Earth

While driving to my grandparents house the other day, I saw a duck and a bird walking together. I stopped my car and could sense the love these two had for each other. They are not a common pair, but they didn't care. They were cautious of me. You could see the duck looking for the bird to make sure it was okay, and you could see the bird peeking through to make sure the duck was okay.

Animals are the true free species on this planet. They are truly free, unless they are captured. Sometimes I wish I was an animal. To not know the stress of life. Of having to fit in, pay bills, and fight just to deserve the basic needs every human should have.
