There once was a social worker so wise
Whose client had tears in their eyes
Instead of therapy, they told jokes so funny
Making each other smile, oh so sunny
Their sessions were filled with laughter galore
No therapy needed, just jokes to explore
The client felt heard, the worker so kind
Leaving all their troubles far behind
To all those in need of a listening ear
Remember, sometimes laughter is all you need to steer
Therapy or jokes, whatever the case may be
Just find what brings you goy and sets you free!
Seriously though. Sometimes all someone needs is to laugh. When I joke with my clients in their therapy sessions, it lifts their moods. They laugh and engage after that, and "Spill the beans."
