This story stems from really wanting a connection of my own, but the more I heal, the more I realize I still have people to remove from my life. I must be okay with being alone. I just wish I had a family, but I don't. So, I need to work on being my own family, as I realize my mother will likely never change her ways, and my son may never come around.
