Dueling Chairs

In a pool so cool, a chair did sit

Sipping lemonade, enjoying every bit

But along came a lawn chair with a mighty roar

And said, “Move over, this is my turf, not yours anymore!”

The pool chair replied with a splish and a splash

“I’m here to relax, not to quarrel and clash!”

But the lawn chair was fierce, determined to win

So they battled it out with a big, noisy din

Water splashed high, chairs toppled around

The pool chair and lawn chair, making quite a sound

In the end, they both learned a valuable rule

A swimming pool’s for fun, not for acting a fool

My work area is in my bedroom. I bought a fancy new computer desk, well, fancy for me, and part of the desk is in front of my window. I'm on the third floor and can see the pool. While staring at it, I thought of a silly poem. :)
