Dear (Name Removed)'s Training Buddy

Dear person I don’t know

I hope this poem finds you well

As you spend time with us

And our family’s holiday spell

I know it’s tough to be away

From your loved ones this time of year

But we’re here to make you feel at home

And bring you some holiday cheer

We may be a little crazy

And loud as can be

But we’re all here together

And that’s what makes us family

So, sit back, relax, and enjoy the show

And let us entertain you

With laughter, love, and joy

And a Merry Christmas too

May your holiday season be filled with warmth and light

And may you find peace and happiness

In the company of friends and family

And in the memories that you’ll cherish

I've never claimed to be normal. In fact, I prefer to set myself aside from other's these days. It makes me unique. Last Christmas, I wrote poems for each of my family members, as well as a few friends. My uncle was in town, who is a semi-driver, and he was supposed to bring his, "Training Buddy" with him. I wanted his friend to feel at home, so I made sure he had a poem as well. Turns out he didn't end up coming, but I was prepared in case he did.
