Creative Intelligence

In a world where whispers twist and turn

Where sparks of genius often burn

Creative minds, so sharp, so bright

Dance within the shadowed night

Misunderstood through ages past

Their visions painted, vivid, vast

Einstein with his cosmic dreams

Edison’s bright, glowing beams

Tesla, with his lighting touch

A man who dared to feel so much

They called them crazy in their time

Yet now their names in gold we chime

For genius wears an unseen cloak

Beneath its folds, the heart, the stroke

Of brilliance, that the word may spurn

Until its light they can discern

So here we stand in future’s gaze

Building fires from ancient blaze

Creative minds, so bold, so true

The world one day will value you

If someone is creative, it's highly likely they are super intelligent and misunderstood. Creativity isn't exactly welcomed or appreciated. Take a look at all the starving artists that couldn't pay their bills but continued on with their passions. Some of their art sells for millions now that they're dead, but when they were alive and struggling, they were often loners. They struggled financially, had little or no social circle, were isolated, and often felt alone.

I'm not saying this website is amazing. I have a super small fan base as of 07/09/2024, but you know what? I'm enjoying it. It's incredibly releasing to know my stories can be read anytime, anywhere, all around the world. It keeps me busy and distracted, and helps me to feel full of purpose. What I'm saying, is that no one appreciates what they have, when they have it. They miss it when it's gone and wish it were back. So many people from the past struggle with this, so what makes you think no one does now?

All the people mentioned in the poem above, and SO many more, were called crazy. They were outcasts and bullied. But we now use their inventions, their art, and their talent. They were highly intelligent, highly misunderstood, and highly devalued for what they brought to people's lives. Let's learn to appreciate what we have, and who we have before it's too late!
